Categories

Mylio has many ways to help organize your library. Categories are an additional tool you can use to assign to Calendar Events, Folders, and even individual media. Having categories added throughout your library can make it easier to search and filter from any view to find the exact image you need at any moment.

You can manage the list of categories in your library in Mylio’s settings under Settings->General->Categories.

  • Make new ones using the Add New button
  • Remove any unwanted ones using the “X” to the right
  • Use the handles on the left to prioritize the order of categories
  • Click on the text of existing categories to edit the name

 

Add Categories to Events

  • Select Calendar view along the top
  • Click the plus (+) button on the right in the Info Panel
  • Under the Description text box is the Categories section, click the plus (+) next to Categories to add

  • The list of available categories can be edited by selecting the pencil in the top-right
  • This is the same editable list located under Settings->General->Categories
  • Any categories added to an event are applied to all photos in the event

 

Add Categories to Folders or Individual media

  • Select any Folder(s) or media in grid view
  • In the Info panel to the right, select the plus (+) sign next to the Categories
  • The list of available categories can be edited by selecting the pencil in the top-right
  • This is the same editable list located under Settings->General->Categories
  • Any categories added to a Folder are applied to all photos in the Folder
