Setting Up Spaces for a Family History Workgroup
Updated this week

This is an example of how Mylio Photos+ Spaces could be used to share an account with collaborators on a family history project.

  • Family Member 1 – Mylio Photos+ account administrator with access to everything.

  • Family Member 2 (sibling, cousin, etc.) – Has access to a Space called “Family History” with permission to add new photos, edit metadata, and tag People, but cannot delete files or change to a different Space.

  • Family Member 3 (grandparent, great-aunt, etc.) – Has permission to browse to a Space called “Family History” and switch between the All Photos, Calendar, People, and Albums views, but cannot make changes to files and most tools and panels are hidden.

  1. Assign the Family History category to media you want accessible by every family member.

  2. Create a Custom Space for each family member that includes the Family History category.

  3. Apply the appropriate User Role preset to apply commonly used settings and permissions, customize as desired, and then click Save.
