Troubleshooting: Mylio and Privacy

Here at Mylio, we take privacy seriously. From your name and email to your photographs, we work hard to ensure that your information is safe. 

When discussing privacy with our users, the conversation often turns to the cloud. A defining factor of Mylio is how your data is accessed. In order for you (or anyone) to access your photos, even if stored in the cloud, they must do so from within the Mylio application. Your photos are only stored on your devices providing an added layer of security by limiting access behind credentials attached to your account.

Mylio does not hold any rights to any of your photos. We do not maintain the right to use or access your photos for any purpose other than transferring them between your devices or publishing them to your social network if desired.

As always, the best defense for your privacy is a strong password. While our passwords do have requirements such as a capital letter and a number, always remember the best passwords are a complex series of characters, numbers, and symbols.

Tips for keeping your information safe online:

  • Keep your passwords private.  
  • Use a different password for each service, device, and application you use.
  • Use complex passwords. The more characters, numbers, and symbols the better.
  • Periodically change your passwords. If you reset your Mylio password, you will be notified in-app to sign in again to regain syncing functionality.
