Troubleshooting: Videos Not Playing Back Properly On Android Devices

Mylio for Android relies on Android’s core video playback system to play videos in Mylio. Some videos may import into Mylio and sync between devices, but not play back on Android as expected. This can include:

  • Media plays sound but no video
  • Media plays video but no sound
  • Media and sound out of sync
  • Media does not play at all

If you experience these issues please test the video on another device, such as a Mac or Windows computer, or iOS device. If the video plays back as expected on these devices then the video is likely not supported by Android. If these videos continue to have issues on other devices, then there may be an issue with the original video file.
