Mylio Photos includes a powerful logging system that helps our support team troubleshoot technical issues. Typically, the application runs with logging set to Normal, which captures enough information for general diagnostics without affecting performance.
However, users have the option to adjust the logging level for more detailed capture. If you’ve received a “Verbose Log Capture” notification, this article explains what it means, why you might be seeing it, and how to address it.
What Does “Verbose Log Capture” Mean?
This notification appears when the logging level on your device is set above Normal — specifically to Chatty, Full, or Debug. These higher levels can collect more detailed logs, but they may also:
Decrease performance in Mylio Photos
Use additional storage space
Slow down syncing or other background operations
Unless instructed otherwise by the Mylio Support Team, it’s best to keep your log level at Normal.
When Should You Change the Logging Level?
In most cases, you won’t need to change this setting. The only reason to increase the logging level is if you’ve been asked to do so by Mylio Support while diagnosing a specific issue. If you’re not actively working with support, it’s recommended that you return the setting to Normal.
How to Resolve the Notification
To clear the “Verbose Log Capture” notification and return your device to its recommended logging level, follow these steps:
Open Mylio Photos.
Click or tap on the Dashboard in the left sidebar.
Select Devices.
Click on the device showing the notification.
Under Device Logs, locate the Logging Level slider.
Move the slider to Normal.
Close the Dashboard.
Once you return the log level to Normal, Mylio Photos will resume normal performance.
