Notification: Delete Failed

The Delete Failed notification appears when Mylio Photos cannot delete a folder because files still exist inside it at the file system level.

The folder may appear empty in Mylio Photos, but one or more unsupported or hidden files are still present on disk. To prevent accidental data loss, Mylio cancels the delete and restores the folder.

How to See What’s Blocking the Delete

  1. Click the Notifications icon in the top app bar.

  2. Select Delete Failed.

  3. Review the file(s) listed in the notification.

These files exist in the folder but are not visible in Mylio Photos.

How to Resolve It

  1. In Mylio Photos, right-click the folder and choose Reveal in Finder (macOS) or Reveal in Explorer (Windows).

  2. Locate and remove the file(s) listed in the notification using the file system.

  3. Return to Mylio Photos and delete the folder again.

Once the folder is truly empty on disk, the delete will complete successfully.
