Create a Custom Device Sync Policy with SyncCollections
If you’d like granular control over the files stored on a specific device, you can use SyncCollections. SyncCollections allow you to choose which photos sync based on:
-
Rating, Label, and Flag
-
Keyword
-
Folder
-
Date
-
File Type
-
File Extension
-
File Size
-
Category
Additionally, you can save a Custom Preset to capture your own set of rules that you may want to reuse on multiple devices.
SyncCollections can be configured in many ways. Here are a few examples:
-
Keep all 5-star photos of the people in your family on your phone as optimized quality Images so you always have a high-quality version to view and share.
-
Back up your media marked with 4-Stars, 5-Stars, and Pick Flags at the original quality on Mylio Drive+.
-
Keep all raw photos from a specific camera captured within the last 90 days on your laptop so you can edit and work with them, even offline.
Adding a SyncCollection

In the SyncCollection builder, use QuickFilters to isolate a group of files you want stored on the selected device. When you’re ready, click Done.

You can add as many SyncCollections as you wish.
-
When you’re done making customizing the sync policy, click the Apply Changes button.
