How to Disconnect Apple Photos from Mylio Photos

You can disconnect Apple Photos from Mylio Photos at any time. This is a per-device setting, so turning it off on one device does not affect other devices connected to your Mylio Photos Library.

Disconnecting Apple Photos stops new photos and videos from being added going forward. It does not remove or delete any media that was already added to your Mylio Photos Library.

Disconnecting Apple Photos on a Computer (macOS)

  1. Click the More menu (three dots) in the top app bar.

  2. Choose Settings.

  3. Select Sync.

  4. Turn Sync System Photo Library OFF.

Once disabled, Mylio Photos will no longer import new media from the Apple Photos library on that computer.

Disconnecting the Camera Roll on an iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap the More menu (three dots) in the top app bar.

  2. Choose Settings.

  3. Select Sync.

  4. Turn Sync Camera Roll OFF.

This stops new photos and videos from that device from being added to Mylio Photos.

What Happens to Existing Photos?

  • Photos and videos already added to Mylio Photos remain in your library.

  • Turning off syncing does not remove existing media.

  • Only future imports from Apple Photos or the Camera Roll are stopped.

If you choose to delete photos or videos from your Mylio Photos Library, confirm first that those files are safely available elsewhere, such as still existing in your Apple Photos library or on the original device.

Deleting media in Mylio Photos is permanent and cannot be undone.
